there are laws that say if you dump your head of the CIA you have to pick the 2nd in command to replace him.

Not so. But there are only two Presidential appointee positions in the CIA, Director and Deputy Director. IMO, there needs to be more appointed positions in the CIA in order to gain oversight control.

Apparently there are no laws governing the appointment of an FBI director. My bad. I got sloppy and didn’t confirm what I said about the appointment of a replacement of a director.

But, it seems there was a position in government that requires how to appoint a replacement. Maybe it was the Attorney General. I have to look into that, but right now, it’s time to my place in shape. Carry on, good citizen.
