I just informed an idiot friend of ours that if he gets the vaccine he’s no longer welcome in our house. I’ve gone over a year without getting the disease and I’ll be damned if I get it from a sheep.
His brother had COVID-19 in December of 2019. Both of them have the antibodies. Because he wants to fit in at work he wants to get the shot despite us telling him repeatedly that he doesn’t need it. He says it’s the same as a flu shot. We’ve both informed just how wrong he is.
Idiot.

My son’s employer and many of his friends are putting pressure on him to get the stupid vax. If he doesn’t get vaxxed, his employer makes him produce a negative test every week. If he tests positive he doesn’t get paid for the two week quarantine. There’s a CVS near his job and he goes there every Monday morning on the way to work so it’s free. The employer will do an instant test at his cost for $15.
His friends say that while he’s 32 and in good shape and health, one just doesn’t know what might happen if he gets the disease. He counters that the same is true for the vax and he would rather take his chances on being able to beat a virus in a few days over taking an experimental gene therapy that may have serious ramifications months or years down the road.
I pray his resolve holds out.
Colleague at work called in sick at last minute with 100 degree fever. The person is social media crazy and undoubtedly vaccinated. :-|
