Years ago I saw a list/graphic showing the owners of almost all media including all news, radio stations, music, movies, tv stations and producers and book publishers. It was 9 owners at the time, now I guess a bit less. But book publishers included. About 95% owned by a few.

Yep. I worked for MacMillan at one time, and many in senior management in publishing companies are literally related. It’s almost as bad as European royalty.
