Geronimo (interj.)
cry made in jumping, 1944 among U.S. airborne soldiers, apparently from the story of the Apache leader Geronimo making a daring leap to escape U.S. cavalry pursuers at Medicine Bluffs, Oklahoma (and supposedly shouting his name in defiance as he did). Adopted as battle cry by paratroopers in World War II, who perhaps had seen it in the 1939 Paramount Studios movie “Geronimo.” The name is the Italian and Spanish form of Jerome, from Greek Hieronomos, literally “sacred name.” One contemporary source also lists Osceola as a jumping cry.

I'm so exited! The dandelions are finally starting to pop up! This is my favorite time of the year. Get to sit outside in the sunshine picking dandelion flowers for tea and later wine. If I have too much then I make dandelion jelly out of the flowers. Has a very delicate taste. Then the young greens. Life is good!
For the roots I plant dandelions in 5 gallon buckets. Much easier to gather. Just dump the bucket and grab the roots. No digging involved!
One evening I was watching a rabbit in my yard. The dude was munching on dandelion leaves! Even animals know what's good!

Larry Schwartz commonly referred to as the “COVID Czar” of New York is the latest Cuomo staffer to resign because of a change in ethics laws. While other staffers have resigned because of the scandal around the long-term care home death count cover-up or because of the numerous sexual assault allegations, Schwartz will resign after losing his “volunteer” status in the Governors office.
Previously, advisors and staffers working specifically on the COVID-19 pandemic were labelled as “volunteers” and were except from certain ethics laws that require financial disclosure and anti-lobbying provisions.
