Carlin was right. If they still called it "Shell Shock", vets may have gotten the help they needed at the time.
My daughter’s first BF in Middle School, and friend in HS joined the Marines right after graduating, went to Iraq. When he came home to visit he was a totally different person.
He was a machine gunner in a Humvee and his vehicle was hit by a RPG. Killed his driver and best friend who died in his arms. He got a Bronze Star and a memory that will not go away..................
