I know many many Freepers have many doubts about EV’s. I suggest that most of the folks on this board would like EV’s if they give it a try. Not for everyone, but for more than you think. They drive great and the technology is amazing.

I have every confidence EV’s will outsell combustion in a handful of years. 2027 or so.

I just don’t think the infrastructure will be able to handle everyone driving an EV. But then again one of the Liberals’ goals is to destroy personal transportation.

In big energy states like Texas, their energy choked when it was really needed. The grid in CA is a joke etc. So where are they going to get the power to charge tens of millions of vehicles daily?

If you can prove to me that an EV can survive outdoors, thru a Fairbanks winter; you’ll have me convinced. Please be aware we need BIG equipment to run and keep the roads cleared for us as well. Those of course need to be EV as well, right?
I await your response.

Heavily subsidized EVs will kill the family road trip. They suck for everything other then warm climate city driving. They are long recharging toys.

EV’s, in a truly free-market? I’d be fine with that. But they aren’t the answer to every automotive question. I think there would be on in most near suburban driveways as the daily commuter car. But a lot of families have an SUV or even a Pickup if they’re going to do anything as a family. And forget about EV’s in rural areas. Less practical.

Quite. So many of the arguments are downright obsolete, and remainder are tracking there fast.
