The actual twelve were wannabe social activists and being on the jury would give them a chance to find him guilty several said they were excited when they got their jury notice and wanted to be a part of the decision. There were many, many who said they did not want to be a part of the trial, they had fear of retribution and felt they may not be able to find him not guilty, they were rejected.
