Doing his job? That level of force was not required or necessary. If members of this forum can’t agree on that after watching the video and seeing her bruises there’s no hope. Where is the humanity.

To the extent that she got injured, it was her fault, not the officers. She fought the officer. We pay the cops to arrest criminal suspects. If someone stole something from your property and the police nabbed the suspect, but then decided to let her walk away b/c she said “I’m going home,” you would be ticked. If she has dementia, what the hell is she doing walking around by a highway? It’s always blame the cops with a lot of freepers. How about blame the other side for once?
Cops should be smart enough to figure out how to de-escalate the situation.
She was walking on what appeared to be a well worn path off the highway.
Dementia affects millions of people to one degree or another. There are probably several million people who drive who have some level of dementia. This is certainly no secret.
