A nice sharp cheddar and bacon and you can mainline it!
Be sure to expel the air before shooting.
We were Episcopalian which was Catholic light. We didn't eat meat on Fridays and Tuna Melt was us 6 kid's favorite. Dad liked it too so almost every other Friday was Tuna Melt. My mom had a tuna, cheese, sweet pickle and mayo on bun which then went in the oven on a Baker's Pan. When I was a teenager something in that mix went bad and I have not been able to partake since.
What the hell. I don't have that many things on my "bucket list" On to the tuna melt recipes.
Frozen burritos - top with cheddar and sour cream.
Ditto for Nacogdoches Meat Pies
Salmon - same thing but italian cheese blend
Jarlsberg - what swiss wants to be when it grows up, I just put Jarlsberg on it.
Ritz crackers just don’t work without either cheese or peanut butter.
Any pasta - boil, drain, mix in a tbsp butter, top with italian blend cheese and sprinkle on some parmesan.
Stuffed mushrooms - finely chopped sausage, shrimp, bacon, any other meat, mix with cheese and bake.
I can’t think of much cheese won’t work on.
We real cheese eaters know that cheese doesnt go on anything though other things may be used to put on cheese to change the flavor or texture of the cheese
Everything is better with cheese. 😉
Take heart amid the deepening gloom
That your dog is finally getting enough cheese
Aligot is a French dish blending mashed potatoes, melted guyere cheese, cream, and garlic into a velvety, elastic mixture similar to fondue. It can be served as a sauce under or over meat or cooked vegetables, as a dip for bread or raw veggies, or as a soup.
Watermelon with feta is delicious!
Grated parmesan is the main thing that makes brussels sprouts tolerable.
i was raised in maryland...
i steam brussels sprouts with a combination of old bay seasoning, apple cider vinegar, beer, and water...
the same way i steam blue crabs and shrimp...
That does sound good!
A warm slice of apple pie with a slice of yellow cheese. I think that is a good selection, especially before I take my campaign co-worker Betsy on a date before a “movie.” One of these days I need to get organi-zized...
broccoli done the same way is good too...
I love Brussels sprouts. I take steamed Brussels sprouts sprinkle with chopped (pre-cooked) bacon, cover with grated cheese, mozzarella, cheddar or any flavor, top that off with French’s fried onions and bake about 5-8 minutes.
I have a friend who lives in Vegas, she never cooks. Every time I show up at her house I say....what do you want for dinner. Her first answer is always....your mac and cheese with hot sausages in it. Yum! lol
Mmmm! Anything to take that sour edge off!
