I Hope your irises will come back. 123 years, that’s probably as long as anyone kept track of the droughts.
I had to look it up and I’m sort of sad and glad we left California now.
Many of those gorgeous giant sequoia’s are dying. Apparently between the drought and then the wildfires that were out of control because of the lack of forest management for so long, the big trees were weakened. So the bark beetles have killed many of them.
I kind a like to be there to see how the trees I know we’re doing. There was a Grove I could hike to just a few miles from my cabin. They were right next to a creek so they may be OK. But I would hate to be there to see their demise.
The trees were made to handle a typical Forest fire. Every single one of them had burn marks when they survived fires centuries ago. But they weren’t made to survive an Inferno that comes from all the fuel left on the ground by idiot liberal policies.

I watch this guy’s videos from time to time. As best I can tell his real job is in commercial real estate in California (I think he’s in the Palm Desert area), talks a lot about buying gold and silver, getting out of debt, and being well armed.
Some of his videos, he goes to shopping areas around California, the WEALTHY shopping areas, showing all the closed/boarded up businesses. But today, he went to Venice Beach and showed the tent city that has sprung up on the beach, with multi-million dollar homes on the other side of the street. I will say, he’s also had other videos about the homeless problem in CA and has gone to different areas handing out supplies.
