That’s what I thought....well done steak is like shoe leather. I would think rare would be easier on the teeth.
I used to use Adolf’s meat tenderizer on tough beef, then simmer in red wine and Vidalia onions , sliced thin, for a steak soft enough for a toddler to eat. That’s how my husband liked his steak. Almost like pot roast.
As for me, I loved it grilled or broiled to just sear the outside, and red and juicy inside!
That’s all a bygone delicacy now.
