Only problem with going too early is that the meat, veggies and deli haven’t been stocked yet, seems to happen around 8.
Some idiot decided that a holiday weekend, the busiest weekend on the mountain, would be a good time to close roads and resurface.
I have to go the long way around to get to the store.
Son, who has to be at work at 7, says he is going to try the usual route, hoping they haven’t started work yet.
This is true. Seems like at my local store, they stop working in those areas about 8 p.m. and don’t come back until like 8 a.m. That’s 12 hours! Looks like stores spend the overnight hours restocking the center areas of the store. That sure helped when bread and TP was in short supply-I’d run to my store first thing in the mornings to snag some!
And what crazy person would be paving on a holiday weekend? We have a tradition to knock off paving for the holiday weekend! We may not be able to pick up the barrels/cones/etc. but there’s no people in the work zone to have to slow down for.
