Maybe I can get some insight from you. I’ve been trying to figure out what people that don’t like to cook eat. How do they survive. Sandwiches?

I like to cook, but not so much anymore since it’s just me and I’ve got aches and pains. I eat frozen, and when I do cook, I make my own frozen. Steaks and salmon are easy to do as are salads and veggies. And then there’s takeout.

Im having dental problems now but have to wait until May 11 to start getting fixed, so thinking about making my easy version of Shepherds pie as that is easy to eat.

Well, let’s see....

I’m not quite as bad as one of my former supervisors. She and her spouse owned a Baskin Robbins; he was often at the store at night to close it. He did all the cooking at home; when he wasn’t home she would have cereal for supper. EVERY night!

I’m willing to cook simple things like: scrambled eggs, throw items into a crockpot, mix a casserole together. I do make sandwiches fairly often-they’re easy, can throw veggies on them or have them on the side. Sometimes I ‘snack’: cheese and crackers with some fruit. I do get some frozen meals, either single servings or family size and eat leftovers. I don’t get takeout too often-too expensive! But if it’s something I don’t want to make for myself, I will.

I’ve looked into the raw food diet, but I read the level of effort for that is high because of all the food prep. Don’t like that either! If it’s not ready to cook in 10 minutes at the most, and I have to stand over it, then sandwich it is. LOL

You’d think I was a master chef, with all the cookbooks that I have.

Yep....sandwiches, I think..

If I’m sick, or out of town....hubby survives on sandwiches.
