Governor declares COVID-19 a ‘managed public health issue,’ removes restrictions in 89 counties
Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee signed an executive order on Tuesday that ends local mask mandates in 89 of the state’s 95 counties beginning Wednesday.
Previous executive orders signed by Lee allowed the mayors in those counties to enact mask mandates to those residents.
Tennessee’s six counties with independent health departments, including Davidson County, have until May 31 to lift business restrictions and mask requirements.
“COVID-19 is now a managed public health issue in Tennessee and no longer a statewide health emergency,” Lee said during a news conference Tuesday morning. “As Tennesseans continue to get vaccinated, it’s time to lift remaining local restrictions, focus on economic recovery and get back to business in Tennessee.”
For O’Piffanie Poole and her daughter Joy, they are in this together.
“I would never do anything to my daughter that I wouldn’t do myself,” O’Piffanie said.
That includes a decision to not get the COVID-19 vaccine.
“I just try to stay safe, sanitize, light areas. You know, just do my part,” O’Piffanie said.
“I was hopeful all of these would be done by the end of May,” Lee said.
As the governor announced, people won’t have to do their part and wear a mask in 89 Tennessee counties.
(bold emphasis mine....a pox on the MSM)
“As the governor announced, people won’t have to do their part and wear a mask in 89 Tennessee counties.”
The best part is how pissed the libs will be when we don’t all die and our state economy flourishes.
