National Guard to leave DC this week, Pentagon says
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/national-guard-leave-dc-this-week
The National Guard will end its deployment in Washington, D.C. Sunday, May 23, after over four months with a presence at the nation’s Capitol.
Defense Department press secretary John Kirby said in a news conference Tuesday that 2,149 National Guard troops will return home this week after there were no further requests to extend the mission.
At its height, some 5,200 National Guard personnel were stationed at the Capitol in the fallout of the Jan. 6 riot, and fencing was erected around the building. The mission had already been extended once from March to May 23.
Looks like the news conference was Tuesday, but I’ve been out of pocket most of this week (darn auditors!).
Good morning, Gran. You are welcome.
Thanks for posting the list of pubbies who are against us and Trump and are all in on the persecution of patriotic Americans.
They just identified themselves and put themselves on the list of who needs to be primaried in 2022.
Long past time for the National Guard to go home.
The National Guard were used by Nasty in her con and theater to keep the narrative going that “domestic terrorists” were coming for them and they HAD to be defended.
“May 2025 is retirement travel trailer time!”
I’m excited for you!
We rented out a condo for a while - it was the biggest pain. Using a service would be easier, but is also very expensive. If you are looking for a place to move to, I also see no reason to keep the house.
If you find yourself driving east, come by and see us. I’ll show you around and if you are into outdoor activity or just looking at beautiful scenery, you might want to consider this place. But with all the people moving here, prices may not be so low. But who knows - they could all move out by then!
We found with all the houses we’ve sold - move in ready is key. People don’t want the hassle of moving AND remodeling. Or even just painting or cleaning. So anything you do that makes it look ready to move in will help sell it faster and for more. It doesn’t even have to be an expensive fix, like you said.

A loan of $1.2 billion has closed on the asset known as the Bank of America Building (555 California Street) in San Francisco, CA. The interest rate is approximately 2%. Thank you!

Because of the military presence, there’s a ready supply of renters and a lot of the realtors offer rent management services. But I’d rather have peace of mind!
I would only rent if the housing market totally crashed and I couldn’t sell for at least what I owed. A co-worker was a realtor here during the 2008 housing market crash; her sister lives in my subdivision and owns rental property. She said that the ‘crash’ here was more like a ‘slump’. Prices went down a bit, but they didn’t drop like they did in the Nashville market. And houses kept selling even though it might not have been a ‘seller’s market’.
Plans are to travel, and I’m going to go all over the US, but it’s all contingent on the idgit in the WH and how much damage is done to the country!

For the first time in history, you can say “He’s an idiot” and half of the country will know you’re talking about Joe Biden.
(I don't watch Supernatural so didn't know this was a thing)

I can get you a ‘You voted for him you fix it!’, ‘Don’t blame me I voted for Trump’ and for you Texans ‘Don’t blame me I voted for Waylon Jennings’.
Lol. Better than an “I voted for Kinky” TX sticker. :)
😍
Names of GOP that voted for Jan 6. Circled names of those voted for impeachment. Included district break down. 30 of the 35 come from R+ districts. Of those 30, 25 come from fairly strong GOP districts (R+5 or greater). Means they’re prime targets for primary challenges in 2022. pic.twitter.com/u7IdZ7xFsA— Ned Ryun (@nedryun) May 20, 2021
