I agree with your assessment. Trump knew there was no fix for the election in the courts; just that the courts had to play out before the real fix.
Trump prefers to be way underestimated. He has the best intel on the planet. Plays a long game. He went into the WH “raw” with some good intel on players but laerned what he needed to quickly, went in obviously with a very detailed plan, aided by military.
