A White Yale professor has been branded racist, compared to Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin and told to resign from her role as a councilwoman because she interrupted a black colleague and told him how to address her during a virtual meeting.
Dr. Valerie Horsley is a councilwoman in the town of Hamden, Connecticut. She was taking part in a virtual meeting with councilman Justin Farmer and other local officials on April 5.
They were discussing an ice rink in the town and Farmer asked the town's Director of Finance a question about the financing of it.

Not just racist, but sexist. She would never have interrupted a woman. :)
She should resign just for telling someone to address her as doctor.
Pretty common to address Professors as ‘Doctor’ when I went to college, way, way back in the ‘70s. However, I never heard any of the Professors insist on being called Doctor and would have thought they were pretentious if they did.
A revolution without principles destroys its creators.
And that is exactly where they are headed in the US.
Unless the last name is biden maybe as in Dr Jill
Who are these people that insist on being called by their title Dr. or whatever it is? She deserves all she is getting.
She should resign just for telling someone to address her as doctor!
Kong gender identity vs Godzilla racial identity. An irrelevant battle to the death
Barney Fife on Andy Griffith asked to be known as Bernard P. Fife, M.D. (Mayberry Deputy)
I thought it was because he hasn’t been correctly addressed as Dr. Bwa, ha, ha Guy.

You can call me Private, thank you.
Impressive CV. She’s paid her dues.
I think my response might have been “Sorry about that, Val.”
If anyone ever tries that doctor business with me, I’ll simply say, “Fine Doctor, and you can call me Master.”
But he made an exception once in a trial. A particularly obnoxious attorney (he had dealt with the guy during depositions), approached him while he was on the stand and called him "Mr." he then hesitated and said, in a very sarcastic tone, to him (while looking at the jury) or should I call you "DOCTOR". To this he replied: "Well, I do hold multiple degrees including a Doctorate, so yes, I would prefer to be called by my proper title.
The attorney did not like the response at all, but now had to call him by his title.
“Like Saturn, the Revolution devours its children.” This is particularly delicious when served with a special Chinese sauce.
I love it when liberals eat their own!
Radical feminists hold no rank next to the lowest black person. Accept the monster you helped create ladies.
It was still common when I went to college too (millennial here), but that rule was/is basically for students and staff only. Demanding to be called doctor outside of the university setting gets one branded an insecure a-hole, which is why the Dr. Jill Biden thing is so funny.
This woman demanded a colleague on a city council address her as Doctor instead of councilwoman. It doesn’t get much more entitled than that. No doubt she votes Democrat too, so I have no sympathy for the racist part.
This country is going for a long ride on the crazy train.
