Heh, oddly enough, considering what a whacko I've been with CPUs (I forget how many I have around here) I don't have a single AMD. I almost bit on the cheap Walmart store-brand Ryzen 3 laptop based on reviews, but the price shot up $100-$150 and it suddenly occurred to me, I don't travel, why get a laptop, particularly one that was going to look low-end in just a few years. :^) R Pi for under $100 is the way to go for everyday computing. I don't game.
Yes, I have considered the R Pi.
Lots of ham stuff available. I need to dust of that gear too.
