Sure, it is serious to the vulnerable. They should be protected, or given some of the extremely effective therapeutics out there. Only problem is that our government makes it difficult to obtain them.
Okay, HOW do you "protect" the most vulnerable? No one who has ever made that suggestion has ever explained exactly HOW it could be achieved. The only way I can think of involves significant loss of freedom to those being "protected." That is, they can be confined to sanitized facilities with restricted entry, similar to facilities used to house animals for research. Other than that, I can't think of how they could be "protected."
