Speculation is not a study. A study is an experiment or series of experiments that test an hypothesis, which has to have the property that it can be confirmed or refuted by the experiments. You can't, for example, study special creation because it is not refutable. (That doesn't make belief in special creation false - it just means that writing about it is not a study).
"This could be this, and that could be that" is not a study.
