Well, actually...
In an enclosed indoor space...a "smoke eater" (industrial air ionizer) can knock smoke out of the air....and dust...it just falls to the floor.
Why is no one addressing this existing remedy?
We have that technology where I live and work. It’s wonderful. I have no allergies in here. If I leave the studio to travel or even on a day trip, after a few hours my allergies start to attack but then I come back and breathe free immediately.
We have an air scrubber inserted into the line of our A/C system in both lobby area and studio that hepafilters the air, then exposes it to UV light, then converts the humidity into ions that attack anything that’s left in the air.

Only disturbing thing, it seems they’ve recently hired Debbie Birx to be chief medical office.
I recall my college photography professor saying she had something like this in her home darkroom... it knocked all the dust out of the air so it didn’t wind up on her negatives.
