Rush really should have left a replacement host even though it would have been near impossible to do.

The only replacement I see is Mark Steyn. He would be great.

But perhaps there's some Baby Rush that we don't know about, waiting in the wings.

Hard to say. It's all about bringing everyone on board day after day. YOU can talk to a large part of your audience of to yourself and a few close friends. Rush did it through a strong discipline few have on radio these days. I was never "that" good but I had my moments.

I was good with kids they are the impossible interview for most.

Problem with kids is you get two or three word answers from your questions and then you better be ready with the next salvo. It's doable. But, it really takes energy and you have to get into the kids head think where he(she)is at and go from there or you lose almost every time. I miss talk but I'm too old for a second job.
