I had one the first year they came out. It was great for most of my ownership. Toward the end it had carburator problems that weren’t diagnosed by the dealer and valve stem seal issues that caused me to get rid of it. But up til then, what a winter car and what a ride.

My first time over 100 mph was in a Nova SS. I had a 1980 Chevy Monza 4 banger with a manual tranny. It was a rust bucket. The V6 models were pretty powerful for what it was. Glad you survived the pole. I did that in a 1990 Plymouth Acclaim.

I didn’t start driving until after I got out of the service-1971
Since then I would guess I’ve had 50-60 cars and a motorcycle.
My cousins are in the auto business and I bought a 74 Audi Fox with 138k miles for 400 bucks from one of them.
The speedometer was pegged so who knows how many actual miles. Until i rewired the starter, I had to back into an incline in the parking lot at work, so I could get the car rolling then pop the clutch to start it.
I had a 71 & 74 Vega. My girlfriend at the time (now my better angel) bought the 71 Vega for a buck then sold it to me for a buck. She then got totalled in it...no harm to here. That wreck begat the 74 Vega...fat tires, racing stripes - car couldn’t get out of its own way.
I also had a 68 Chevy badged Chevy II-Nova. Floorboards were rotted...used plywood over some boards to cover the holes. Whatever pollution stuff was on it was cut off and crimped. Somebody put an after-market carburetor on it where, after a while, the bowl would over-fill and produce a flood condition...while driving. Had to pull over to the side and wait a bit, then go again.
Guess I could do the begats again, of all the vehicles, to see how many I have had...and that includes buying the same car twice.

I read this ebook by Jeff T Bowles on Vit D. I don’t like his website, probably because I’m a techtard and don’t get it.
But he has a couple of books on Vit D.. Megadoses! As as long as you take Vit K (Ok, disclaimer if you take a blood thinner check with your doc on Vit K or read this guy’s book lol)
The research this guy has done is mind boggling.
I have taken as high as 20,000 mg of Vit D, which isn’t a vitamin but a hormone. Vit K keeps the calcium from leeching into your blood. I now take 10,000 IU of Vit D daily along with 7000 or so of Vit K.
I have read the below book as well and that’s where I heard about Boron for arthritis. Fascinating. My thumbs hurt, but when I broke my arm, I don’t know if it made it worse or the PA said “YOUR THUMBS HAVE SEVERE ARTHRITIS!!! And that made me think about the pain. She told me I shouldn’t have square thumb joints and I said, “I picked those in heaven.” lol I’m so bad.
So I ignored everything. But a few weeks ago I was playing this piece on the piano and hit an odd chord and the pain in my thumb was so bad, I quit playing for few. I thought I can’t do that pain. So, I did the old Boron research again, bought some and yeah, within 3 days, the pain was gone in my thumbs.
I bought the following book, but it didn’t make an impact on me like the other 2. Or I didn’t finish it. Or I didn’t start it haahahahahah.
Holy crap! I read about what was going on in Canada but this brings reality to it.
This is a national security issue.
