A best practice everyone should adopt for all their traffic, IMO. OpenDNS is good. I use Cloudfare 1.1.1.1 because it’s easy. Whatever you choose, it’s best to avoid the prying eyes and caching of your service provider.

OpenDNS is free for home use and easy to set up. Rather than instituting obtrusive parental controls on my kids devices, I just block certain things via DNS.
There are ways around it, but my kids seem well adjusted and I haven’t caught them doing anything too questionable.
I don’t leash my kids. But I have one that still needs the bumpers up when she bowls... so... Yeah...
