Deaths after covid vaccine updated today:

“Over 167 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through April 5, 2021. During this time, VAERS received 2,794 reports of death (0.00167%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine.”

I'm not sure what to make of the data you found. I understand VAERS is updated every Friday (first line of red text below) and haven't seen that total yet. That said, I have seen some evidence that data is missing from VAERS and maybe your source is better (searching VAERS differently?). I just search VAERS below and here's the data I found:

ransomnote: VAERS only publicly reports on their PUBLISHED info and they are incredibly behind on the REPORTED info.

The quote I listed came direct from the CDC and is updated every week:

But, the “death after vax” backlog is minimal compared to to the mind boggling backlog on the “adverse events” reports.

VAERS has only publicly published 50,000+ so far; but has reported 205,000.

Each week VAERS comes back and tries to fill in some of the backlog; but unfortunately they just get farther and farther behind.
