Husband’s niece is a hospital nurse, her husband a Fire Fighter just loss sense of smell/taste, their healthy 9 yr old nearly died. She was a twin, whose sister died of Crib Death.
Salk and other vaccine pioneers took many tries to get them safe, for some of us NO vaccine is safe. Hubby spent 20 yrs in the Navy, multiple vaccines over that time, I had only Smallpox, rest were acquired through exposure. We are 72/80, neither of us got COVID, and we are the most venerable group, especially me, as I’m high risk medical. We live in a small rural town. Medical is in BLUE Memphis, which is COVID riddled. We stayed away, wore masks at the doctors. I’ve 3 main Specialist, compromised Immune system. Only medical issue was a Major Meniere’s attack, the 2nd in a decade, wrong age for it, hearing loss is now the Major issue.
