A10s are only good in the day time. For more serious night ops it is recommended to use AC-130J Ghost Riders: you can run, but you cannot hide

Here's an older AC-130 model administering a sort of flying quietus (11 minutes) at night to maybe 100 fighters and 4 or 5 tanks. Watch as they look all around to see who is firing at them, then go flying.
