Our job is to use noggin and heart to ferret out truth, and reject lies.
Regarding the white hat lies, I think it an honor to be part of their spread, as we are digital soldiers (as Gen Flynn coined the term), and if a white hat lie is required to out maneuver the black hats, I'm honored to be some small part of the operation.
OTOH, black hat lies must be countered and exposed, dark to light.
“Disinformation is coming from both sides, white hats and black hats.”
They tell lies for the sake of evil, but patriots use deception to defeat evil. The difference is in the inward parts:
5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
