I discovered in my digging that the VP has at least 3 different offices: one in the West Wing (the one in the photos); one in the Capitol as President of the United States Senate; and a ceremonial office in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. I think that might be the cause of the odd wording of the new desk ‘appears to be set in the West Wing office’.
