I agree with you 100%. As long as we’re mentally competent, we must insist that our children understand we will never be equals. The Bible doesn’t say “Honor thy children”. It says “Honor thy father and thy mother.”
Parents and their grown children are all permitted to express an opinion, as well as the consequences of not complying with one’s wishes, but bullying and brow-beating should not be perpetrated or tolerated by any of the parties.
