No, it wouldn't do any good because they're a very prolific non-native invasive species that love this part of Florida and eat the leaves of certain plants, and there are just too many of them. The pest specialists I've spoken with haven't even come up with a working strategy against them.

Cute, huh? The little buggers are called Sri Lanka weevils, and they're smaller than my fingernail. Best I can do is pick them off the plants when I see them, and stomp them to death. When I do so, I imagine they are dwarf derps. ;-)

If you want bugs man we got em' here in the Keys although not as bad as they used to be.

You know they are bad if you have to run from the car to the boat so you don't breathe them. I hate breathing in mosquitoes, ruins your day or night.
