Thank you, lj. It’s nice to be back after a brief hiatus, which followed many months of intense emotions about the past year’s events. Every golf ball I hit had some imaginary derp’s face on it and I attribute that to my mostly good ball striking.

I’m inspired today by some evidence of the awakening of Canadians, and re-inspired by the optimism and intelligence of the people here who’ve been so far ahead of the curve for so long. You, personally, offer us so much in the way of beauty and analysis. What a beautiful Easter Sunday!

I don’t happen share your golf enthusiasm, but I’ve been spending a fair amount of time pruning and topping our trees with a pole saw lately, and I imagine every branch and limb I cut down as a Derp.

It’s not a power tool, incidentally, just a regular saw attached to a looooong telescoping pole - so, I get lots of time to imagine taking their heads off, slowly and painfully, one small stroke at a time. ;-)

I am glad you had a break! Did you see this? People are waking up all over. Maybe I should restart my twtter ping list. 2 minute video of long lines of uniformed and plainclothes cops tossing down the handcuffs, taking the side of the people.
