Certainly not past the realm of possibility.

The Doctors doing so aren’t idiots.”

We have the results of the double blind peer reviewed trials of the vaccines that demonstrate the effectiveness of the vaccines. Where are the double blind peer reviewed trials of those drugs that show similar effectiveness (>90%) in preventing COVID?

"A 1% mortality rate when you consider that 70 million to 150 million U.S. residents would contract COVID-19 U.S."

What? There is nowhere in the world with that high of a death rate from this virus. The fact is, the more testing done, the lower the overall death percentage has dropped - and that's not even factoring in the untold millions of asymptomatic people who are never entered into the data. Estimates are that between 40-60% of those infected are wither asymptomatic or exhibit such mild symptoms that they don't bother getting tested. So what that means is that a huge number of folks who contracted the virus and recovered aren't counted

“death rate is < .01%”

Not if you are over 70 or have a bad immune system. That mentality sounds a lot like “They are old and sick, let them die and decrease the surplus population”

"There is nowhere in the world with that high of a death rate from this virus."

I appologize for not making it clear enough those numbers. Those 70 million to 150 million U.S. people infected represent future numbers as the pandemic plays out. If 1% of those numbers died, that would be a large number added to the 540,000 deaths we have now. With the denial I see on these boards, I am certain we will reach the population of Hawaii in deaths.

But given the current mortality rate of this virus, one percent of that number will not die. Perhaps 0.1-0.3% of them will.
