I don’t disagree with your comments, but I didn’t misunderstand the situation that I was referring to. I’ve seen an ample number of posters hereon deny that anyone has died of Covid (alone), while others maintain that it simply doesn’t exist - that the cause of death HAS to be anything but Covid.

I can give you a pretty simple explanation for why that is:
Have you ever known a habitual liar? After such a person tells you enough lies, you stop believing him even if he tells you something he would have no reason to lie about.
Our government, and the entire apparatus that supports them, to include the news media and the CDC, has told us so many contradictory and obviously false things, that only a fool would believe anything they say from here on out. So now, the (healthy) instinct of a lot of people is simply to disbelieve EVERYTHING they say, even if it isn't something that is necessarily questionable. That may be a bit of an overreaction, but it very reasonable.
