Why should there be background checks?? Where in the US constitution does it say a god given right is to be taken by man?? If a person is such a danger to society then why are they alive?

I have always thought that prosecuting people can write on their background checks where there are already laws in place for that, should already be occurring and should now occur in earnest. Felons, drug users, illegal aliens… Focus on them! Leave us legal law abiding citizens alone
