Good Residents of Baltimore: GET OUT NOW.

It's about to become an even bigger crime ridden cesspool than it already is.

That shift — repeated by prosecutors in many other cities — didn’t just reduce jail populations. In Baltimore, nearly all categories of crime have since declined, confirming to Mosby what she and criminal justice experts have argued for years: Crackdowns on quality-of-life crimes are not necessary for stopping more serious crime.

Can I pick apart the abject stupidity of the statement above? Of COURSE crime rates were reduced -- that's what happens when you stop arresting and prosecuting people for them! DUH!!!

> In the 12 months since she ordered scaled-back enforcement, violent crime is down 20 percent and property crime has declined 36 percent... <

Could it be that the new program is working? Or could it be that some serious crimes are simply being recategorized? (For example, an assault is booked as disorderly conduct.)

Oh, wait. There is a third possibility. Maybe city officials are outright lying to us.

Does that include child prostitution as well? Joe should like that.

Cities have stopped prosecuting knock out muggings. It happened to my brother and my son’s friend. The police just shrugged it off, telling them to be “more careful”.

Yes, this is utter BS. What what else should we expect in the age of fake news?

But God help you if they find out you went to a Trump rally. That’s a hanging offense.

If low level crimes are not prosecuted, then people will stop reporting them. Thus, REPORTED crime will go down.

Not my problem. In fact, I’ll just go ahead and say it. I like this. I like sanctuary cities. And I base that on the assumption that most of the garbage people in my country are aware of these protections and migrate to those areas, where they can live their lawless lives, away from where I live.

Kind of how a strip of flypaper works. Sorry, not sorry.😉

Yeah, refuse to make arrests of criminals and then say the crime rate has decreased. The rot is pretty thorough in Baltimore.

I’m sure this will work out wonderfully, with the quality of life improving significantly for all Baltimore residents. Property values will increase, city tax revenues will be up, peace and prosperity will reign over the landscape.

You're NOT wrong!

Case in point: my employer, a large multi-national bank located near a major US "Sanctuary City" sent out a survey a few months ago about returning to work once the vaccine is sufficiently distributed and herd immunity is reached.

Not surprisingly, more than 70% of all respondents said they wanted to remain working from home citing ongoing safety concerns in the city.

My employer has been in negotiations to terminate office space leases for more than 10,000 people in said "sanctuary city" as are a number of others who are HQ'd in the city.

The oncoming real estate collapse in these "sanctuary cities" is going to be epic.
