I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed The Chosen. I love so many of the characters, it’s such great acting by them all, and yes, Matthew is so special, isn’t he?
I’ve watched all the Season 1 episodes about 3 times. The scriptwriting is so brilliant and nuanced that I pick up new details with each viewing. I really like the way it makes the characters into authentic, lifelike people with real individual personalities and conflicts. And the creative fictitious plot lines are plausible enough to help bring the stories to life, but without contradicting anything that we do know is true according to scripture.
The Chosen was one of the few bright spots of light to shine in 2020, and I’m very eager to see what they’ve done with Season 2.
