I loved that dude. I read his book in college and he became a hero of mine.
When he went to prison, being unwilling to make a deal and snitch, he talked of first walking in and the blacks mad dogging him. A comb of his was stolen. He walked up to the biggest, blackest one he could find and yacked him right across the melon.
