Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf is one of my favorite films. A real gauntlet of a movie. I think all of the four lead roles (I think that apart from a waitress, there were only four actors) were nominated for an academy award. Segal was young then, he was a presence. Of course, Richard Burton was spellbinding.

Yes, you’re right that’s in the piece. Burton and Segal and Liz Taylor and Sandy Dennis were all nominated. Both ladies won, the gentlemen did not.

Totally agree. This film is a treasure. I still watch it regularly. Stunning on so many levels.
