I put together a slide show when my mom passed away. Born in 1918. There is one photo of her dad and the three other daughters at the park. He is wearing a suit and a white round flat-top straw hat (late 1920’s). Behind them are three men walking. Suits and the same white hats. (Just looked it up - called a “Boater” hat).

I love those old photos. I used to live in a small town which had a library with archives of the town paper. The little rural county fair goers of 1905 were dressed in their Sunday best. Ordinary baseball crowds had a sea of men in suits. People cared about themselves and others back then.
