“Why don’t you attempt to explain why COS would have everyone believe there isn’t a single thing to worry about promoting an Article V convention.”

Why don’t you attempt to explain why crossing the street (CTS)* would have everyone believe there isn’t a single thing to worry about...

*Or

GOB (Getting Out Of Bed)
CAT (Climbing A Tree)
...

This is a fun game! I say, “We should support Cats!.” You say, “Explain why nothing can go wrong supporting cats...”

See the problem?

Obviously, to anyone with half a brain, [they] shift the premise to a statement nobody in COS movement, and certainly not I, have said. Then they argue against that statement. Classic “Straw Man Fallacy,” a basic error of logic.

“A straw man (sometimes written as strawman) is a form of argument and an informal fallacy of having the impression of refuting an argument, whereas the proper idea of the argument under discussion was not addressed or properly refuted.[1] One who engages in this fallacy is said to be “attacking a straw man”.

The typical straw man argument creates the illusion of having completely refuted or defeated an opponent’s proposition through the covert replacement of it with a different proposition (i.e., “stand up a straw man”) and the subsequent refutation of that false argument (”knock down a straw man”) instead of the opponent’s proposition.[2][3] Straw man arguments have been used throughout history in polemical debate, particularly regarding highly charged emotional subjects.”

If anyone wants to debate a COS without resorting to such logical fallacies, I’m otherwise open.

See the problem?

I certainly do.

COS folks can’t answer a simple question.

Debate is out of the question, since they depend on their echo chamber of our way or the highway. If you would like to experience the one sided debate, I suggest looking here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/485328658331556/permalink/1577783985752679/

There are at least two Freepers that visit, with both sides of the issue represented. It is a divisive issue for patriots, and frankly ought not to be. If you happen to think the climate is right for your suggestion, those of an opposing opinion would think you can’t see the forest for the trees. I’m sure for some that works both ways if you happen to buy into the “NO PROBLEM” COS agenda.

In my opinion the movement is dead because there is sufficient opposition in State Legislatures to oppose it. That said, the moving of the goal posts never ends and now the sacrosanct properly worded resolution, has morphed into the anything goes strategy with which they will now further abuse and distract State Legislatures from important business while defending themselves from the COS scam.

Regardless what protections you think are available to prohibit the possibility of anything going wrong, consider the FACT the media will have the narrative, and that is actual fact. They are not interested in the least of achieving success through amendment ratification, only in the destruction of the Constitution as a viable foundation of our Government. They are drooling with eagerness and anticipation to have the opportunity handed to them by patriotic American’s who cannot see the forest for the trees.
