Ohio State and Michigan are chronic underachievers in big games. This has been true for years. I think it has to do with the entitlement mentality embedded in their athletic programs, and this creeps into the kind of kids they recruit. Michigan football may have been humiliated to the point that they’ll finally realize no one in the Big Ten is intimidated any more, and the team may grow some character. Maybe.
I’m stunned Michigan State didn’t even make it to round of 64, UCLA beat them in the play-in game. When’s the last time State wasn’t in the tournament?
