Hopefully — HOPEFULLY — all the talk of mandatory vaccinations will remain exactly that here in OK — talk.

Gov. Kevin Stitt signed an EO on Friday, lifting the state worker mask mandate (which included my nephew), as well as most other restrictions. Link below:

While that was good news, I’m wondering when private businesses will follow suit. Usually that time is pretty brief, but with something that’s been hyped nonstop for over a year, who knows?

Just got back from our local grocery giant. On the one hand, they don’t enforce the city mask mandate. On the other hand, EVERY SINGLE TIME yours truly goes in there, an obnoxiously perky female voice blares out over the intercom within 90 seconds of me walking in the door: “Employees and customers: This is just a reminder to stand at least 6 feet apart and practice safe social distancing. As always, thank you for shopping at _____________”. There were other maskless people there today, so I’m pretty sure it wasn’t directed specifically at me . . . but sometimes I wonder.

Sorry for length. Thanks to all for letting me vent, and partly defusing a fierce desire to go back there and kick someone’s ass. Anyone’s. ass . . Heh. :-)

I won’t go in Kroger/Frys anymore for that same reason.
Today I went shopping wearing mosquito netting.
Test run.
Nobody said a thing and I could breath freely.
