“I don’t care for gravy on french fries to start with, but when you throw cheese curds on top of the gravy my gag reflex kicks in. One of those weird foods whose 3 ingredients are great separately, but nasty together.”
I prefer malt vinegar when I can find it but don’t mind gravy if it’s good, which is rare.
My son turned me on to poutine, though. Most of it sucks but there’s the odd time the weird combination really works (though to be fair it almost seems like you’re daring your heart not to explode, lol).
Not worth it enough to pursue except under emergency conditions, though.

It kind of reminds me of this, I think it’s fairly newish or I just haven’t paid attention, to loaded nachos, but they use french fries instead of chips.
We got the wrong order once. I have to be careful what I eat, so I usually order nacho chips and I opened my container to find it had french fries! Something wrong about french fries, salsa, and guacamole hahaha.
