“My doctor is in his mid-30’s and he now wears full hazmat gear when he sees patients.”

+++++++++++++++++++++++

That’s the weirdest thing I’ve heard, Linda. Well, no, I take that back, when this first all started, I had to put one of my old cats down and they wanted me to gown up, mask up, glove up.

I said.. “Why don’t we go outside, doesn’t the sunshine kill China Virus?”

I took all the stuff off except my mask and when they came back in I said (lied lol) “my cat hates plastic, she’ll bite, so I’ll just hold her on her blanket.”

I think half the medical people are dim. I went to see my cash doc and he was all “HERD IMMUNITY” but no mask on. His wife, otoh, was gowned, masked, and gloved up. And she sterilized my cc before and after.

This is why I stay home and do most of my shopping online. Not because I’m afraid of the virus, but dim people try my patience.

I’m in the herd immunity camp too. It’s the way all living organisms have always fought disease since the beginning of time. I believe in the two ideas of mitigating illness with human intervention, and survival of the fittest, and there’s an appropriate balance between the two. The balance is often found by applying the Hippocratic Oath concept of First Do No Harm.

The process isn’t necessarily pretty or fair but it’s reliable and necessary for the strength of humanity. Whatever we’re doing now with covid has great potential to undermine that and is doomed to fail in the long term because it runs against nature, and nature usually knows best.

I have learned to shop on line. The rare times I shop in a store, I wear mosquito netting over my Indiana Jones hat - if face covering is required (all the grocery stores here).
