Depends on why your investing. If your good on the basics for survival and just looking for things that will easily be traded or sold for profit then I would say ammo, tobacco and booze.

Get some tobacco seeds and a book on how to cure it. That way you'll have a continuous income source. A couple carboys and some airlocks will give you a way to make booze. You can ferment lots of things into wine, not just grapes and berries. I think the best wine I ever made was from butternut squash.
(Be familiar with the regulations involved, of course. Depending on how things go, there might still be enough police around to be a factor.)
Ammo is harder to grow, but 2 of the 3 things on your list can be produced at home.
