It was even more amazing to actual be there - not to mention all the rest of the show - hard to imagine now - makes me sad she’s gone - Great movie about her - Janis, Little Girls Blue.
I spent all of 1968 in Vietnam so I missed her and Jimi and more. In the 1970’s I was at a bookstore and saw a book for $1. It was, “Going Down With Janis”. Ha. First sentence was, “I was stoned out of my mind on smack and the woman with her head between my legs was Janis Joplin.” It was written by a woman in SF. Great read about her, warts and all.
