Cream at The Royal Albert Hall in 2006 would have been better than in their early days.
Sound systems were so vastly improved.
Cream was indeed a super-group.
Cream is meant to be played on Gibson guitars through massive 100 watt Marshall stacks. Instead, Clapton employed his Stratocaster and a pittance of small Fender combo amps, the gear lineup he's been using for much of his post-Cream career.
He didn't even bother using a wah pedal for the White Room solo. WTF Eric?
Clapton and Jack Bruce discussed bringing the old refrigerator-sized Marshalls out of retirement for the reunion but decided against it. They'd grown too comfortable over the years with their smaller amps. Sad.
