Yes, this is a vanity, because in these times we all need a break, and thats why I come here sometimes. So...who do you choose?
Hey, I’m from the Cuse and I was at that show. Amazing show. I remember surprisingly that the best song was Cadillac Ranch, with the jam at the end, and the band jumping down the risers with each chorus. Crowd was wild.
Rolling Stones at West Palm Beach.
Went but ran out of money and had to go home.
Did see PG&E and King Crimson - fantastic!
I saws Zep in 1975 at the cotton bowl....the old one at the Dallas fairgrounds
I was disappointed
I think Plants voice is weird in its progression
Mo is right ....after Iv it was a little different
But the weird thing ....is it’s been fairly steady since even as an old man..he and Paul Rodgers can still wail
As can Colin Blunstone who’s really old and who’s tone requires serious pipes
I ageee with Jack Black.....greatest ROCK band ever....I just like Pages melody and imagery and sourcing and Plants and Pages lyrics
Jonseys arrangements....what a kind man
And of course Bonzo
You can’t top it
Floyd close second....David Gilmour another institution
Best rock and rolll band....mick and keef......no question
But right now I’m listening g to Who’s Next for the 10001st time
Daltrey still sounds good
This is so subjective and age dependent
Were I under 45 I might say Tool
My little brother might say Maiden
And I like other genres....I think Joy Division and Ian Curtis ...rip deserve to be in the stupid RRHOF
Now it’s love ain’t t for keeping...Makes me want a naked woman....always had...lol...great song
My gen was so blessed with music...probably our greatest boon
Kept me alive I’d been dead by 45 any other era
The Grateful Dead are an institution but are not great ....musically ...and I love them....esp the Pig era
I also like Winwood endeavors and Ronnie Van Zandt
And I think Duane Allman player guitar well as anyone
And SRV....
Were lucky for our music
Inspired grunge more than anyone
Classical
Bach at the old Freiburg cathedral.....
Bach stands alone....it’s inarguable
Pancakes for breakfast!
Tulls aqualung / benefit tours were damned awesome
Truly incredible
The guitarist was amazing....I saw benefit album tour I think spring 1971.....unbelievable
Stereo show
Jackson coliseum in Mississippi
Smoke was thick
Mom thought it was oregano..
You mean "Old and Wise"
👍
There’s plenty Dead love here...me too
Spruce....only Nebraska
He sucks ....I know it’s a North Atlantic thing...like Scrod
Best band ever when coming on the downside of 500-750 mcg of windowpane acid
I love them for that
Pondering the universe as a young man with style and psychedelics
Thank you
Justin, Graham, Ray, and Lodge
What a unique band to come from basically a Dave Clark Five knockoff
Seen them 14 times old and new
My old biz partner was their old booking agent
The southern girls who showed up at outdoor venues for me to two tickets from
So many babes in SUVs and pickups....one outdoor show in Rome Ga was incredible for women
Wasn’t that show at the forum...I went to one there ..
👍
The Jesus of modern music in one sense from which all flows....no question
I loves me some Bach
Baroque not classical
A slight but important distinction...
Bach had some sort of immortal induced talent on loan from God sort of thing....
Truth
Throw in Duane Eddy
-PJ
I was jimmy buffets driver in Oxford Mississippi in 1978
Ole miss show
He was an asshole
I gave him a handful of blue Valium I had ....made him worse which I didn’t think was possible
The lovely back singer....I mean smoking hot around 30...I was 20....she took pity on me and helped me with him
He had around ten naked ole miss coeds in his room at the holiday inn she and I trying to get him dressed..lol
To get to his Lockheed jet star
Dan Fogleberg was a jerk too
The Doobie bro’s were very nice
As was john Prine
And steve winwood and Bobby Womack and Bonnie bramlett who I lusted for
She came down to play with them....legs and great natural bosom
I was winwood neighbor in later years and now his local wifey in passing ...she’s from Trenton Tenneseee
I’m no celeb glandhandler
Only true celeb I knew well was Waylum....anyone here knows me already knows that
I was on concert committee at ole miss ...we had 50k a semester....not too shabby
