I only remember what I heard in passing on Fox News. Why the Guard commander asked the Sec Def and whether that is a change in normal procedures I am not sure. We are under the rule of a growing tyranny which, by definition, can change the rules to suit themselves since there is no one right now to stop them from doing that.

True. The public has to throw off it's chains. States are beginning to drop mandates and in some areas the public is begining to drop it for them.
Encouraging the public to rise is opposite making assertions that the military is in control. The public needs to realize the military is not their adversary, is not their oppressor.
The public needs to realize the field is theirs - the mil will uphold the Constitution. The public needs to assert their Constitutional rights NOW and not wait for President Trump to return to office. We can't remain an attrophied nation fully dependent on President Trump for our capacity to stand. We can't live one heart beat away, one stolen election away from slavery.
We have to act like we know that God is on our side, and stop cowering. The deep state has some mil - and they will try to make it seem like the mil is with them, against us. That's in part what is causing hesitancy on the part of the public.
The seeds are starting to sprout but more energy is needed. Cuomo is going down and DeBlasio is pretending to hold him accountable, but DeBlasio is just as much to blame for allowing Covid-19 patients to be forced into nursing homes.
The tide is starting to turn but we need more and more to wake up and move. Peeps are joining locally and in CA, they are working to recall Newsom.
There are more liars and abusers in positions of power right now who need to be recalled, fired, sued and publicly outted, in addition to exposed and protested. Now is our chance.

Still trying to articulate my thoughts. People see the chain link fence and razor wire and some believe (too many, actually) that the Deep State has taken the Capital, and “resistance is futile”.
The public needs to realize the NG is there guarding the Capital FROM the Deep State. When we organize, when we protest - we’re not going up against the US military under the direction of CRAZY BIDEN.
